Not far from Schwerin Castle and the historic ensemble of buildings, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2024, the unique 4-star superior hotel is located directly on the lake.  

The listed warehouse, where grain was once stored to supply the whole of Schwerin with bread, now smells of fresh bread rolls.

The family-run hotel is quietly located directly on the lake and is only a 15-minute walk from the old town centre. The sunsets over the Ziegelsee, which you can experience on our terrace, are unforgettable.

The hotel is connected to the water network via the third largest lake in Germany, Lake Schwerin, and the Elde-Störkanal. This means you can also visit us by boat from Hamburg or Berlin.     

The hotel has been climate-friendly since 2010. In 2014, it was the first hotel in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to bind more CO2 than was actually produced in operation by participating in climate protection projects.
