Not far from Schwerin Castle and the historic ensemble of buildings, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2024, the unique 4-star superior hotel is located directly on the lake.  

The listed warehouse, where grain was once stored to supply the whole of Schwerin with bread, now smells of fresh bread rolls.

The family-run hotel is just a 15-minute walk from the historic city centre and is situated in a quiet location directly on the lake. The sunsets over the Ziegelsee, which you can experience on our terrace, are unforgettable.

The hotel is connected to the water network via the third largest lake, Lake Schwerin, and the Elde-Störkanal, so you can also visit us by boat from Hamburg or Berlin.     

The hotel has been climate-friendly since 2010. In 2014, it was the first hotel in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to bind even more CO2 through climate protection projects than was actually produced during operation.
