What makes this hotel special?
This family-run hotel is consistently praised for its friendly service.
Its unique selling point is its peaceful, secluded location on the shores of Ziegelsee, with a lovely terrace and a special atmosphere
It has been campaigning for climate protection since 2010, and the listed building has a moving history.
As well as the restaurant and bistro, there are seven meeting rooms, a sauna and fitness area, and a private spa.
There is a ferry service to the castle
How far is the hotel from the old town?
The hotel is situated in a very quiet location on the shores of Lake Ziegelsee. You can walk along the water’s edge to the old town. The walk takes about 15 minutes; by bike, it takes about 7 minutes.
There is also a bus service on Güstrower Straße (2 stops). It takes 5 minutes by car. However, parking spaces are limited.
Is there a car park at the hotel?
We have a car park on the hotel premises, right next to the hotel. Parking is free for guests.
Can I charge my electric car?
We have two electric charging points of our own.
Do you have a sauna or a swimming pool?
We have a sauna area and an exclusive private spa. The sauna area was completely refurbished a year ago. There you will find a sanarium, a Finnish sauna, an infrared cabin, three showers (waterfall, Kneipp and rain shower), changing rooms with showers and a kitchenette, and a relaxation room. The library is also available as a relaxation room.
In summer, visitors enjoy swimming in Ziegelsee. There is a jetty with a ladder there
The private spa is located on the 7th floor and can be hired exclusively for a fee. There, you can enjoy complete privacy.
Is there a gym, or where can I do some exercise?
There is a small gym with a rowing machine, an exercise bike, weights and a multi-gym. You can go for a jog round Ziegelsee (3.4 km) or run longer distances. We’ll be happy to advise you on site.
Can you eat at your place?
Of course, we have a restaurant and also a smaller, separate room (seating approx. 22) for smaller groups. We call this room our bistro. The bistro is very cosy. We cook with fresh ingredients and use plenty of organic produce. Vegetarian dishes are, of course, also on the menu, which changes with the seasons. Please let us know of any special requests before your arrival. We recommend booking a table for the evening.
Do you have a room for bicycles?
We have a lockable room for bicycles (near the car park). You can also charge batteries there. However, it is strictly forbidden to charge batteries in your room. If you don’t feel like bringing your own bikes, we also have bikes available for hire.
Do you also have bikes for hire?
We have city bikes with gears and e-bikes available to hire for a fee. Please do book in advance
